A Baby Changes Everything...

No truer words ever spoken. Miss Sophie Li has turned our world upside down. Gone are the quiet days filled with the steady breathing of two adults fully independent. On November 21, 2011 a little Asian baby changed everything. This quiet house is now full of laughter, giggles, and yes, screams. The girl's got some lungs. Nothing she does is quiet. Just ask Preacher. What use to be a come what may kind of day is now becoming a regular routine of fixing breakfast, changing diapers, fixing lunch and dinner, snacks, getting completely drenched at bath time, changing diapers, story time and yes, changing diapers. Who knew a baby could 'go' so much?? And as soon as you change it...here comes that look. The look that warns you it's not going to be pretty. And it ain't! By the end of the day I'm so tired can hardly see straight. But By the time the next day rolls around I can't wait to get up and do it all again. My favorite part of the day is when she wakes up in the morning and wants to cuddle. Oh, she melts my heart. Who would've ever thought this baby would change everything the way she did...for the better?? She has. And I can't believe she's ours. I don't need a thing for Christmas. I've got all I need right here...wrapped up in polkadots and bows...well, bows part of the time...until she realizes it's in her hair.

Thank you Jesus for this baby who has changed me. This is the second time it's happened. You were the first. A babe that came, wrapped up as the most precious gift to us. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of your love for me through Sophia. There are no words to describe how my heart feels...but I know you know. I'm forever grateful.
