FBI, USCIS and Jesus

We zipped up to the Raleigh USCIS office yesterday around noon and praise God we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. It wasn't crowded at all and the officers were so much nicer this time around. It was quite the pleasant experience. I wish I could've taken pictures of this monumental event, but I didn't want to spend a couple of days in jail, so the scrapbook will just show the official USCIS letter.

We called USCIS to let them know we had walked in early and just got their voicemail. Darren left a message and they didn't call back. So this morning I'm doing my usual surf of the China forums I visit for valuable information and I run across a post about fingerprinting and USCIS. The poster has been waiting three weeks for approval...she called yesterday and she hasn't even been assigned an officer. The lady at USCIS told her they were just beginning to assign officers from that date, which was October 23rd. I didn't want to read that. That could possibly put us another month waiting for approval! I read on to what the other posters responded and one lady reiterated that it is imperative to let USCIS know you were fingerprinted early because they won't even look at your file until you are printed. So, y'all...please, please pray that she's right and that we can get in touch with the right person today to speed this thing up. Of course we want this thing to speed up if and only if it's God's will. So many factors come together to get us logged in at the right time, so ultimately it is all in His hands. We have paperwork that will expire in January, so our desire is to get logged in before it expires. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for all your encouraging words and prayers :) BTW...Darren is a lot better and our house has never been cleaner...
